Travis may deny it, but unfortunately he doesn't have a lot of evidence otherwise: he is a total, stereotypical jock. While he's not as self-centered as he used to be when he was younger, he still boasts a lot of self-confidence, incredible skill at sports, the inability to pick up after himself, but exceptional skill at picking up the ladies.
'Course, he's not a very safe option for women; his first girlfriend ended up on the wrong side of the crazy fence, while another ended up dying in a car crash right after their particularly emotional breakup. Unfortunately, the reason for his strained relationships with women is the fact that he can't seem to keep it to just one. He desperately wants to be loyal, but the idea of being tied down scares him so much that just being in a relationship prompts him to make stupid decisions.
Which is another thing--Travis doesn't particularly have a lot of brains. Many have joked that Bradley ended up with all the brains of that Kane generation, but it's probably not safe to say that around Travis. He knows he's not brilliant, but saying his geeky brother is better than him? Bad idea.
Although Travis' relationship with his brother growing up was never all that great because of events that happened in High School, it steadily began to improve after they graduated, and now they could be considered friends. Though, they still find it in them to be competitive with one another, despite the fact that neither are really all that great at the same things. (Except, perhaps, video games.)
Lolly, on the other hand, shook her head in disbelief. "You have no idea what you're doing, do you, Travis? You scream no, and yet you know that Jade isn't giving you [the woohoo] that you want... And you know I can give it to you. So you took it. You didn't object last night... What gives you the right to suddenly call me the bad guy?"
-- Lolly Racket to Travis Kane
"Dire Decisions"
Although Travis has commitment issues and the usual Kane-family flaw of stubbornness and bluntness, he isn't what you'd consider a bad person. Though he willingly jumps into affairs without looking, it isn't to intentionally hurt his spouse or even because he loves the other person; he just can't help himself. Especially now that he has numerous children--and possibly one child outside of his marriage--Travis is increasingly self-depricating towards his cheating habit... he just doesn't have the willpower nor the brains to stop.
Overall, Travis is an optimistic fellow with a killer sense of humor, and a willingness to like just about anybody. He can frequently be found at the gym keeping himself in shape for his intense career as a Pitcher for the Twinbrook Llamas, or at the bar keeping up a nasty habit of ingesting way too much alcohol. But, be sure to keep your distance if he's just come out after practice; he's not known for being thorough in the shower.
Travis is available for download here as a single Young Adult sim, and here as a child with the rest of his immediately family.

Three kids already? Man, Travis.
I've always been a secret Travis fan, not going to lie. I really like the quote you chose from Lolly, because it shows how he can kind of be a jerk without realizing.
He's cheated on Jade since getting married??? Hasn't he learned?
Bwahaha, closet Travis fan! Awesome. He's not typically the most likable guy in the story, so it's always nice to hear that he's not turned everybody off... At least, not yet. Haha. ;D
I really love that quote, too. Travis is the kinda guy that hardly ever seems to take responsibility for anything, so having someone come right out and say it to his face is priceless.
Sadly, he never really learns. :( He's got kinda a thick skull, I guess!
Hey, look how many people like Chase when he's meant to be the most unlikeable guy in my blog! There's still a lot to love about Travis, he's just got a lot of layers. Like cake.
"Like pahfaits! Everbody likes pahfaits!"
I totally hear ya, though. :) I adore Chase--I guess we just have a thing for bad-boys, eh? Or at least, boys that wanna be good but really really suck at it.
Haha, exactly! But I do have plans for Chase in season 2 (to borrow your term, haha). I feel like I should make it up to him a bit... uprooting him, saddling him with a dead fiance and new daughter, making him the bad guy in the Pesces' lives...
Btw, I just got a little popup about a certain Kane. Travis is now going steady with his 3rd girlfriend since moving into the neighborhood!
Oooh, cool! Sounds like someone needs to write faster, I wanna know what you have planned! Gah!
YES. OMG YES. Go Travis! FINALLY, he does what he's supposed to do in SOMEone's game. *flail*
Hahahahaa XD He's been linked to Bunny Curious, someone else whose name escapes me, and now he's dating Zo Wheloff.
Aaand I'm currently working on tonight's post, which should be up soonish. I've been experiencing weird problems with my game lately (could be from how heavily it's now modded? XD) and it's going super slow, so I'm trying to clean stuff up. But yeah, this season's about half over? Maybe a little less?
Heee! Go Travis. XD
*dance* Wow, it's going by quick! I'm even more excited, it means I won't have to wait too long to find out who the killer is. >:D Bwahaaha.
Mods don't really cause too many lagging issues (outside of Story Progression, which is a little bit of a hog), it's more CC that causes lag because the game constantly has to load the items and the patterns the more you zoom around. Custom patterns can make CAS a living nightmare, lag-wise. You could try removing some CC, clearing your caches, checking for outdated mods, but sometimes things just get slow because the save file is just getting really big! ;D
I don't have toooo much CC, actually. I wound up deleting a few mods I didn't want to use anymore (like camera mods that just made the screen reallyyy slow), and cleared out the screenshots file (which was getting HUGE) and it made a noticeable difference!
Yeah, it's going faster than I had anticipated, so I might draw it out longer (25 posts rather than 20, etc). I didn't really think I'd be posting an episode every day or two, but here we are! Haha.
Who said the killer would be revealed in the finale! >:]
Good! I'm glad you got it to speed up! Having a laggy and uncooperative game makes it a struggle to want to actually play.
Hahaha--I hear ya on that. I say I'm going to post twice a week, and then I go two weeks without a post... And then I say I'm going to try to slow down, and I post every day. At this point I figure it's impossible to set a posting timeline--just post when you feel up to writing! I'm so glad you feel enthusiastic enough to write every day. :D
BAAAAH. *shakes fist* Now I want to see the end even MORE. I promise, I'll be patient. ...^^
There is a secret Travis fan club. I started feeling for the poor guy when Amelia's friends randomly accused him of killing Em. When even his family was starting to side with Brad and think of Travis as killing Em...
Then I popped the young adult version into a Sammy story and he very quickly did three things. Get married, get his new bride pregnant and make best friends with Sam. How could I not love him?
It also amuses me if he does this cause I know that wasn't in Kaleeko's plan for him.
And it's true that posts happen in their own time. Sometimes it's quick, sometimes slow. But I kind of hate Kaleeko saying that she'll be posting twice a week cause that's when it's twice a month. LOL
Travis, we <3 you!
Hahaha... I honestly think our copies of Story Progression are borked, because a Commitment Issues sim should not behave that way! Ah well. ;D
Lucky Travis--got your own club. See?! I knew I picked the lucky trait for a reason!
I think it has something to do with deadlines--I see them and I run screaming. I figure if I stop setting goals for myself in terms of 'speed', I'll be okay! So, henceforth I give no promises about how often I will update. XD
Make sure you don't fall into the same trap, guys!
Kaleeko, that's kind of why I never tried to set up a post schedule or promise a post unless it's only an hour or two from done.
I tried setting myself mental deadlines about how often I post what but no one knows if I fail those. :)
Ahahaha, deadlines are killer.
I don't really set deadlines unless I know I'm going to work on it later and I say "Kaleeko, a post is coming later tonight!" or something. Then I try to stick to it.
Otherwise, it just happens when it happens. I'll admit my motivation has been tapering off as of late, but only a tiny bit! And that's just because of the slow game, which should be taken care of.
Now that I'm getting into the exciting part of the story, I'm probably going to be slowing down to every other day, I think. Mostly because I want to get it right!
Oh my gawsh, Owen, Gracie & Sally. I cannot wait to meet them!
Travis is indeed a jock! lol Wow, some of the situations he's got himself into, with women that is. We know he's not all that bright upstairs but we love him all the same. :)
